I have so many dreams, many captured briefly in fleeting images I see vividly in my heart in rare, quiet moments. At times these prospects energize me while at other times I’m buried by their enormity and my so slow movement in their direction. Which freezes me up even further – I despise stagnancy – and makes the whole process, the whole point so much less fun.
Despite my all or nothing tendencies and yearning for perfect, immediate results, I also know that each one of us has wow things that only we can do, that the world is waiting for. And that it is a process, sometimes a long one.
But all of us are so capable. And yes we may be so far away from where and who we want to be, but all we need to do in this moment is start. To take a tiny first step towards. And then another. Said Chinese philosopher, Lao Tzu: “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”.
Let us all clarify where it is we want to head, begin, put one foot in front of the other, and enjoy the journey for that’s where life is to be found.
